Hi, I'm Kacey Graner.

My Bodywork Story, So Far...

After becoming licensed as a massage and bodywork therapist,

I moved to Wilmington, NC and completed a Bachelor’s of Science

in Exercise Science Degree.

In Wilmington I personalized & strengthened my massage technique

and opened my first private practice, Port City Massage.

Fast-forward to the present...I now own and operate a private bodywork practice in Aberdeen, NC.

I have studied and practiced deep tissue / neuromuscular style massage therapy since 2016. My formal education in the science of exercise, fitness, health and wellness provided a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology of the human body.

I am a big believer in consistently furthering education & being a lifetime learner. This conviction led me to the fascinating bodywork method of Structural Integration....I remember setting up a meeting with the only SI practitioner in my hometown, and the only one I had ever heard of at the time, at the end of my massage school training. In hindsight, I wanted him to give me a black and white definition of Structural Integration / Rolfing...comically, that was just not the case. Needless to say, that conversation spiked my curiosity and planted a pivotal seed. At that time, I had a strong curiosity of Acupuncture, Physical Therapy and SI...and I ended up moving to Wilmington to complete a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Years later, I needed continuing education for my massage therapy license and decided to take an Anatomy Trains Structure and Function course...a more contemporary school of Structural Integration. I was blown away by the information. However, this course occurred in mid March of 2020, and any plans I had of moving forward were brought to a screeching halt as the COVID pandemic took over. As soon as I could, I completed my first 10-Series with that same local SI practitioner. I was fascinated by his deep therapeutic touch and even deeper knowledge of the human structure and connection. After that, I was fully convicted I would begin the journey to become an SI practitioner myself. I'm SO happy to say, I am a certified Structural Integrator through Anatomy Trains Structural Integration as of June of 2023. I will be shifting my private manual therapy practice from deep tissue massage to structural integration and structural bodywork in July 2023.
